Shorts Program

Son
Directed by Daniel Mulloy

17 min - 2008 - UK - English - Color

Son tells the story of an underground theatre director and the possessive grip he holds over his female colleague and her young son James. James' unhappy world unfolds in the confines of the theatre's vaults where soon reality and fiction become indistinguishable.

Feature Program

Chronic Town
Directed by Tom Hines

* NY PREMIERE *
96 min - 2008 - USA - English - Color

Driven by his fear of being alone, a solitary cab driver named Truman uses alcohol and drugs to distract him from the realities in his life during a bitterly cold winter in Fairbanks, Alaska.

After a bad acid trip and what appears to be a suicide attempt, Truman winds up in an institution where he must attend group therapy as he attempts to put his life back together.

In befriending his fellow misfits, particularly a stripper, Eleanor, and an elderly woman, Elizabeth, whom he visits in a home as part of his “release program,” Truman opens the door to a new world and puts his best foot forward as he steps into the cold.
