Feature Program

Far From Iraq
Directed by Delphine Dhilly

52 min - 2008 - France - Color

Far from Iraq explores the war in Iraq as experienced by four young soldiers' wives and girlfriends, following their emotional and political journeys during and after deployment.

By revealing the tragic gaps between wartime propaganda and the long-term damage war inevitably inflicts upon the couples whose lives it touches, this documentary is a provocative, engaging and ultimately troubling look at the often unseen effects of the war in Iraq.
